Firefighters were called to assist at the scene of a road traffic collision involving one vehicle today at 1.26pm.

Crews from Brentwood and Waltham Abbey attended and found a man trapped in a car which was on its side

They administered first aid and used specialist cutting equipment to release the man, who was in his eighties, by 2.28pm. He was left in the care of the Ambulance Service.
