Unison
http://www.unison.org.uk
UNISON has a dynamic and vibrant retired members’ section. A national retired members’ committee meets regularly to discuss the issues that matter to you – this gives you a voice at the heart of the union and ensures that your views are heard at our national and retired members’ conferences. We value your experience. Our retired members attend branch meetings and often mentor new branch officials and reps, as well as getting involved in local and national campaigns.
You are the link between the employed and retired and that solidarity between generations is so important to everyone. The NHS, the provision of a decent income in older age and a fair society all matter to every UNISON member, regardless of age. UNISON works with other pensioner organisations in the UK and across the world which gives you plenty of opportunities to campaign on issues that are important to you.
